1. Magnoliae Liiforae Flos [Magnolia] (55):
Traditional use - controls pain, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea. Has an anti-spasmodic effect, antifungal effect.

2. Ligustici Wallichii Rhizoma [Cnidium] (446):
Traditional use - invigorates blood circulation, headaches, abdominal pain. Has a vasodilative effect, hypotensive effect, calming effect, antispasmodic effect, antibacterial effect, antifungal effect.

3. Notopterygii Rhizoma [Chiang-Huo] (57):
Traditional use - headache, generalized aching, fever/chills, rheumatic arthralgia. Has an antibacterial effect, antifungal effect, sudorific (sweating) effect, antipyretic effect, analgesic.

4. Corydalis Rhizoma [Corydalis] (448):
Traditional use - invigorates blood circulation, controls pain. Has a calming effect, analgesic effect, spasmolytic effect, anti-ulcer effect.

5. Angelicae Dehuricae Radix [Angelica] (45):
Traditional use - controls pain, removes swelling and pus, dermal dryness, pruritus. Has an antibacterial effect, antifungal effect, analgesic effect (pain reduction), antipyretic effect (fever reduction).

6. Cimicifugae Rhizoma [Cimicifuga] (73):
Headache, chills and fever, sore throat, diarrhea. Has an antipyretic effect, analgesic effect, antiphlogistic (inflammation) effect, anti-convulsive effect, anti-ulcerative.

7. Ledebouriellae Radix [Siler] (53):
Traditional use - common cold, headache, vertigo (dizziness), generalized aching, arthralgia do to cold, ostalgia, limbic spasms. Has an antipyretic effect, antibacterial effect, antiviral effect.

8. Ligustici Sinensis Rhizoma et Radix [Kao-pen] (54):
Traditional use - Headache due to wind-cold, controls pain, diarrhea, abdominal pain. Has an antispasmodic effect, antiphlogistic (inflammation) effect, antifungal effect.

9. Akebiae Caulis [Akebia] (270):
Traditional use - irritability and heat sensation in the chest, sore throat, and laryngitis, urinary bladder dysfunction, water metabolism, cramps, anemia. Has a diuretic effect, cardiotonic effect, antibacterial effect.

10. Asari Cum Radice Herba [Asarum] (47):
Traditional use - sinusitis, rheumatoid arthritis. Has an antipyretic (fever) effect, analgesic effect, calming effect, antibacterial effect, antitussive (coughing) effect.

11. Glycyrrhizae Uralensis Radix [Licorice] (532):
One of the oldest and most popular herbs. Traditional use - harmonizes the stomach and spleen, diarrhea due to spleen deficiency, thirst due to stomach deficiency. Has a detoxifying effect, antispasmodic effect, gastric secretion-inhibiting action, anti-inflammatory effect, anti-ulcer effect, also antitussive, expectorant, anti-allergic, immune system effect.
