  Eliminate cheese from your daily regimen. Yes, cheeses are wonderful…and full of fat! Use mustard instead of mayonnaise. Mustard tastes great on most foods and sandwiches, broiled fish, turkey, chicken, even lean meats. Be adventurous! Salsa! Salsa is that wonderful Mexican sauce made from fresh tomatoes, cilantro, onions and garlic. Try poaching your fish in one-half cup of dry white wine and one-half cup of salsa. With salsa, there is no need to cook with oils or butter.

  And, as much as possible, eliminate fats. Fats are sneaky. They often find their way into your favorite foods without your knowing it. Most processed foods are high in fat content, so your best bet is to do your own cooking. Besides, your meals will taste a lot better than stuff that’s been processed and frozen or been sitting in a can for months.
