Dyslipidemia is a complex word for what most
of us know as a condition of high cholesterol. It is
not an easy story to tell and the arithmetic is even
more difficult. First, the translation…dys –
means disorder; lipid – a fat-like substance,
and emia – a blood related issue. Dyslipidemia
is an imbalance of fat-like substances in the blood.

The conservative position for cholesterol
concerns is still lifestyle. Many doctors today feel
cholesterol-lowering drugs, which may be accompanied
with serious problems for the liver, should not be prescribed
unless the signs for heart disease already exist. Unfortunately,
for women, heart disease is a growing problem and quite
often over-looked in a woman’s overall health care.
Surprisingly, there are drugs prescribed to women with
no clinical experience on women.

Dr.
Morcos is an associate professor of medicine at the University
of California, Irvine and Director of Cardiovascular Research
Laboratory, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
Dr.
Morcos has conducted a double-blind trial for the cholesterol
formula, CHOLNIXX®. So far, results are from 10% to 30% reduction
in total cholesterol levels. CHOLNIXX® contains no lovastation
which may be harmful to the liver. CHOLNIXX® actually inhibits
the production of cholesterol while binding with cholesterol
in the system before it attaches itself to the cell walls.
Dr.
Morcos conducted a seminar recently where he stated the need
for supplements in addition to CHOLNIXX®. The anti-oxidants
A, C and E combined with omega three oils top the list for
cardiovascular health.

One day in 644 BC five meteorites fell on Song and
six birds were seen flying backwards over the
capital, probably because of the wind. When the
duke asked an annalist from Zhou what these events
meant, he was given a political interpretation.
Once away from the ducal presence, however, the
annalist privately scoffed at such superstition.
“These are natural events”, he commented, “ and
not produced by coming good or evil fortune. Good
and evil fortune derive from human behavior”.
Think about it!

Ho-shou-wu (Polygoni
multiflora radix) is one component of our formula CHOLNIXX
known historically to inhibit the production of serum
cholesterol and inhibiting the deposition of lipoid on
the inner membrane of arteries probably due to the lecithin
content of this herb. In China, Ho-shou-wu is revered
as an important tonic for the liver, to nourish vital
essence and maintain strength in the body as we age. A
good diet low in fat combined with the ho-shou-wu combination
will go a long way to avoiding the effects of the serum
cholesterol issues Western medicine has only begun to
grapple with.
