3. Violae Cum Radice Herba [Viola]

Traditional use - carbuncle,
deep-rooted furuncle, scrofula. Has an antibacterial effect.
4. Paeoniae Alba Radix [Peony] (474

Traditional use - swelling,
obstruction of blood circulation, hyperemia.Has a calming effect,

5. Moutan Radicis Cortex [Moutan]

Traditional use - invigorates
blood circulation. Has an antibacterial effect - extensive, central
nervous system effect - calming effect, lowers fevers, hypotensive
effect (lowers blood pressure).
6. Gardeniae Fructus [Gardenia]

Has a hypotensive effect, antibacterial

7. Sophorae Flavescentis Radix [Sophora]

Traditional use - hematochezia,
dysuria, rash, scabies, eczema.

11. Rehmanniae Glutinosae Radix
[Rehmannia] (148):
Traditional use- nourishes yin
and blood, controls bleeding, dermal eruption, fever. Has a hemostatic
effect - hastens the coagulation of blood, cardiotonic and diuretic
effect positive effect on the cardiac muscle and the ability to
dilate renal blood vessels, diuretic effect, hypoglycemic effect

12. Angelicae Dehuricae Radix [Angelica]

[Licorice] (532):
One of the oldest and most popular
herbs. Traditional use carbuncle, toxic swelling, harmonizes the
stomach and spleen. Has a detoxifying effect, antispasmodic effect,
gastric secretion-inhibiting action, anti-inflammatory effect, anti-ulcer
effect, also antitussive, expectorant, anti-allergic, immune system
effect.
